This past year I had the pleasure to photograph many couples on one of the most important days of their lives. They are beginning their journey as Mr & Mrs and it is honor that I get to photograph their day so they can relive it over and over thru my photographs.

This past year I have sewn shirts, pinned boutonniere’s, folded handkerchief’s, been the holder of purses and other gear in addition to being the time keeper. I wouldn’t change it for a thing.

I have had the honor and pleasure this past season of working with many other professionals such as Rachel Smith Photography, L Hewitt, T Poz, and Angel Kidwell. I am looking forward to an amazing 2012.

The Engineer Club in Baltimore, Maryland was the location for Jamie & Chrissy’s wedding ceremony on 11/11/11. Chrissy has known since she was a little girl that this location was going to be a perfect location for her wedding day and it didn’t fail to deliver. The Engineer Club is an amazing venue for both a Wedding Ceremony and Reception.

The love that Jamie & Chrissy have for each other was so evident when they are together that they made my job easy. Jamie & Chrissy I wish you both a lifetime of love, health and happiness.

In one week from today Chrissy & Jamie will be the Mr. & Mrs. M.

Chrissy & Jamie decided that their once high school hangout would be a great place for their engagement session and I couldn’t have agreed more. Their Engagement Session was at Loch Raven Reservoir which is beautiful this time of year.

Alicia & Jim where married this past June at the Engineer Club in Baltimore, MD. I had the pleasure of working with Rachel Smith Photography to photograph their Wedding Day. Alicia & Jim elected to do a “first look” which allowed us the opportunity to photograph the couple at many locations near the Engineer Club in Baltimore, MD which is an amazing location .

Mike & Elza – Antrim 1844 {Wedding Taneytown, MD}

I had the priveledge of shooting with Rachel Smith Photography for Mike and Elza’s Wedding at the Antrium 1844. The bridal party walked down the isle to the remake of Over the rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and the readings included Dr Seuss’s the places we will go. I love when a couple adds personalized touches that gives a glimpse into their personalities.

Elza & Mike I hope you had a blast on your honeymoon and I wish you all the best.

Size Does Matter…. {Pasadena, MD Photographer- J. Hurst Photography}

Yes, it is true it size does matter when it comes to photographic prints. I am a visual learner so below is an examples of why it a certain dimension can be necessary in order to maintain the look and feel of an image.

As you can see in the family picture above if they would have insisted on a 16×20 to be printed there would have been some cropping which can not be avoided. I am always happy to show my clients what their cropped image will in print and recommend the perfect size.

Annette & Jeff’s celebrated their amazing ceremony and reception this past April at the Hotel Monaco, in Baltimore Maryland. Annette looked stunning while Jeff looked like he was straight out of GQ magazine. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness.

Mr. Z {Pasadena, MD- Newborn Photographer}

So I had been patiently waiting for the opportunity to get to photograph the brand new Mr. Z. Mr. Z was just 2 weeks old and was sweet as can be. I think he let out one cry during the entire session which last all of a second. A&D (and Hooch) congratulations again on you new addition, enjoy each and every second.

I had the honor of meeting Biggie who was just the biggest baby that I have had the pleasure to date of meeting. While you could tell that he wasn’t feeling his best he was patient and kind and just a gentle giant. When we went outside it was as if he was a big puppy again chasing his ball and playing keep away because after all what fun would it be to give the ball back. You would have never guessed that this sweet boy was 10 years old and not feeling well.
